heron stamps

Great blue herons are very common in the wetlands surrounding Ladner. The Tsawwassen Great Blue Heron Rookery, located just south of Ladner on a forested bluff, is a the largest great blue heron nesting colony on Canada's west coast, and is home to 400+ nesting pairs each year! This large and beautiful bird is so well known in these parts, that it's even on the "Welcome to Ladner" signs on the highway. 

These stamps are the original artwork of the artist. Each one is hand carved and glazed on speckled stoneware pottery. 

They measure 2.5" x2.5" and are available as an ornament.
